Marineo Solidale nasce nel 2003 dalla volontà di un gruppo di persone che hanno maturato la consapevolezza sulla necessità di un maggior coinvolgimento di tutta l'opinione pubblica nelle tematiche di aiuto al Sud del Mondo.
Nocciolo fondamentale, nell'attività di sensibilizzazione e divulgazione, rimane l'obiettivo di far comprendere come l'attuale stato di miseria e indigenza in cui vive la maggior parte dell'umanità dipenda principalmente dall'egemonia economica e finanziaria esercitata dalla minoranza occidentale che vuole perpetuare il proprio primato welfare at the expense of the rest of the world.
