Beaded Bracelets With Meaning
Press for the construction of a piece of political refugees in the parade May 23:
Increasingly in recent years in several Italian cities began to talk about the case refugees. " A plain, in Turin, where three years of refugees and refugee groups are supporting a hard fight against the local government for the recognition of their rights of citizenship (and resist now occupied two houses, via Bologna and course Peschiera where about 300 Citizens from Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia and Eritrea), where a Mass this winter tired of standing of different institutions refugees occupied a state collided hard with the police, to Milan after the evacuation of a building occupied by a Bruzzano hundreds of people from the horn of 'Africa, the only response of the City was the "guarantee" of a few months of dorm.; in Rieti, where groups of young Eritreans opposed the expiry of the protection projects in which they were entered.
Italy:
- signatory of the Geneva Convention of 1951 on refugees
, the cornerstone of international refugee law
- remains the only EU country without an organic law on asylum, with serious consequences on the status of refugees, holders of humanitarian protection and asylum seekers. Meanwhile
Unitamente a all this, there are also enormous responsibility of local levels of governance, incapable of guaranteeing the minimum rights of citizenship: in Milan the response has been repression and marginalization of the needs expressed by the occupation of Bruzzano;
in Turin before the games politicians from the palace of the junta
(Councillor for Social Policies-in-Marco Borgione head) and the Prefecture all designed to evade its responsibilities and then the real violence and intimidation by the police.
And so every time the exasperation, fatigue, disappointment and anger especially young people who took refuge door * to raise his head, breaking compatibility in which the aura of political sense municipality wants them confined, the media talking about the "case", they discover that to stay in the middle of a street without any right granted an immigrant does not have to be an illegal immigrant and national and local institutions proved their hypocrisy dressed up with a mixture not-will and inability to give concrete answers to basic needs that these men and women pose.
We do not care to distinguish between those who have a document and who does not, aware that the crisis is affecting all institutions of racism and all the same, and the residence permit or asylum rights are only paper.
Let's see when the Piazza del 23 / 5 in Milan can be a first step of reconstruction instances of struggle and liberation from exploitation and racism towards migrants. Inside this parade, but we try to build a piece that tries to hold together, to talk in different languages \u200b\u200bof origin men and women refugees, leaders of those struggles in the territories but all speak the same language, which is a dignity denied that wants to emerge with full force.

parade through the streets of Milan and defense against security package
At h.16.30 part from the gardens of Porta Venezia, the procession of refugees with the Committee in support to political refugees, the route passes the inner ring road and reaches to the prefecture.
