Seasonal vegetables are slowly coming on the shelves of groceries and then I take this opportunity to delight you with a recipe from the autumn colors.
The orange of the pumpkin, the brown striped pale green barley and leek orzotto tally in a fragrant and flavorful.
Orzotto pumpkin and leek
Ingredients (4 people):
-1 / 2 pumpkin-
1porro;
-350-400 g pearl barley;
-1lt vegetable stock;
-sage
-20-30 grams of butter;
-oil and salt;
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Wash half a pumpkin, take a good knife and slice it into slices about 1cm thick and bake for about 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, wash the leek and cut into thin slices or thin, if you prefer, chop finely.
Heat the vegetable broth to keep it warm over low heat.
Lift the pumpkin from the oven, prelevatene only the flesh and cut into cubes.
In a large pot, place the oil and leek and fry for a couple of minutes, then add the pumpkin, la salvia lavata, salate leggermente e fate rosolare per altri 2-3 minuti, infine versate l'orzo.
Spezzettate il burro e aggiungetelo all'orzotto.
Buona cena signori!
